I like the idea of the custodian and the bulletin board checkout. some of this is dependent on me getting the grates. that will take a few days to play out. of the three of us who is most likely to be the first to send out for reporcelaining? i don't remember the cost. i need to put myself on a chambers restoration budget. whoever of the three of us (robbiequest, treatmaker or kqandmq) will be doing the reporcelaining could be first. i don't mind shipping the grates to the first person at my expense to get us started.

kqandmq,
Now you want the single double pot too??? Last night I didn't bid because I realised that Gyrinophilus was the high bidder on the single triple pot. We need some kind of list of everyone's ebay names.
By the way Peter, I also have two female Mastiffs. Where are all the males?

Oops, sorry. Peter is Gyrinophilus and kqandmq is the one with the Mastiffs. I'm so confused.

Does anyone have the break done of the cost per item to be reporcelian from Gigi's??
What is the turn around time we are talking about?? Several weeks or months??
I don't know how cheap or expensive this is going to be and I too need a budget this???
Mark's/lowracer grates and burner turned out wonderful and so pretty!! I thought mine were in "mint condition", but compared to his. They be ugly and worn!!
Maybe T. can do a check in/checkout for B's and C's on the convention web page to keep track. We could always mail her the postage cost or like the communal valve grease send to the next person.

Berlyn... I can check into costs at GiGi's, if you'd like. My husband and I are headed to California tomorrow. When I realized that Gigi' was within 90 miles of where we'll be staying, I decided to take all the pieces that we need redone. Hope to save a small fortune on shipping.

I apologize for losing track, but for the B folks, what items do we have and what do we need? The removable oven floor is offered on eBay from the New Orleans B that has been parted out. It is pretty heavy so maybe folks would just refrain from using the oven while getting new porcelain rather than dealing with postage. I'd be willing to bid on it for inclusion in the B model communal stockpile if there is agreement that it would be used.

To bad my reading skills have deteriorated so much. I just read Marks post about the cost. Even with the oven plate included shipping seems reasonable. I still want to make sure that others would find the oven plate useful before bidding.

Mark I wondered when I saw your pics of the items you sent to Gigi's and thought to myself....
Was the oven floor originally porcelian or uncoated cast iron??
Anyone know or can find out the drip pans cost??
Gigi's sounds reasonable and Mark confirmed they look great (go look under his post and see) and he seems happy.
I wonder if Gigi's would give us a group discount for everything we send to her?? In return for us using her exclusively, promoting her work on this site and T's web site and giving her references. We in return donate our savings to Todd and T. to keep the 2 web sites up and running. Any thoughts???
